Namaste and a warm welcome to Sindhuli Community Technical Institute (SCTI). Sindhuli Community Technical Institute was established in 2014 AD as a non-profit, community-based technical institution. It was established in the joint venture and support of local governments (then DDC Sindhuli and Kamalamai Municipality), signing a trilateral agreement with the Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT). This institute is operating in partnership with CTEVT Nepal. Since its establishment, SCTI has been committed to providing quality technical and vocational education and training in engineering, veterinary and health sectors to the youth of Nepal, addressing the increasing demand for skilled professionals both locally and nationally. Currently, diploma programs in civil engineering and veterinary science have been running at the institute. Since 2022, the institute has also been conducting 4-years Bachelor of Technical Education (B.Tech.Ed.) in Information Technology and Civil Engineering in collaboration with Kathmandu University (KU) School of Education. In addition, SCTI has been conducting short-term skilled-based training programs in coordination with different organizations in trades such as tailoring, poultry, building electrician, plumbing, and computer hardware to the community people aiming to encourage them to become self-employed.

In 2024, SCTI also launched a dual VET apprenticeship program in Building Construction with the support of the provincial government and local industries, particularly in the construction sector, to meet the labor market’s demand for a skilled workforce in construction.

Our institute has always strived to fulfil its mission of improving the public’s quality of life through Technical and Vocational Education and Training by developing skilled and competent technical workforces. With a vision to be a Centre of excellence in technical and vocational education and training TVET, we continue to invest in innovative teaching methodologies, research, collaboration, and infrastructure development to ensure our students receive the best training possible. Well-experienced faculties, a peaceful learning environment, student-centered teaching approaches, focus on learning by doing, hands-on activities, ICT-based teaching and learning, the provision of a “learn, earn, and pay” model, affordable fees, scholarship opportunities, an in-house veterinary farm, and the success stories of our graduates are all contributing to shaping the institute as a Centre of excellence in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Looking to the future, SCTI is excited to expand its offerings with programs like PCL Nursing and additional health, engineering, and agriculture courses.

Thanks to the tireless efforts of our committed management committee and the ongoing support from our stakeholders including CTEVT, the provincial and local governments, our founding partner RAWCS, KU, and others the institute has continued to flourish. SCTI remains open to all of our well-wishers as we work to strengthen these relationships to provide high-quality Technical and Vocational Education and Training that meets the needs of our community and country.
